The first Mulmix comic to be officially released today.
What will you find? An overview of our company told in 2 comic strips of 6 cartoons.
But what are comic strips?
Comic strips are a typically American format of comics, born in the late nineteenth century and intended for publication in newspapers. The most widespread and best-known form is the one that we all surely know thanks to Peanuts, or Garfield: four side-by-side black and white cartoons.
Mulmix is an internationally recognized brand that has been working in the agro-industrial and agro-food sector for 60 years (completed this year!). But since we like to stay “young”, we always try to find new ways to communicate.
And this year Mulmix Comics was born: a series of black and white comic strips that tell our company in a different, fresh, young way, because as we have already said, comics do not know age, hiereations, places, genres and cultures, but they are a splendid form of universal language.
Moreover, in the Veneto region, the Treviso Comic Book Festival has just ended in Treviso. and, moreover, at the Benetton Studi e Ricerche Foundation the new role of the blue wolf was presented, entitled “Tutto un lupo”, in short, an alternative Alberto; this is a column that has been hosted by Lupo Alberto since February 2022 and is created by well-known and emerging artists of the Italian alternative comics.
And on the wave of colored animals, we, on the other hand, have the pleasure of presenting the orange ant, which we could easily define as “a whole other ant”, which, from comic to cartoon, will tell the adventures of Mulmix in the company and in the world with a more contemporary language.
As Hugo Pratt wrote «I am an author of drawn literature. I draw my writing and write my drawings. “; this is surely the essence of the comic.
But what does drawn literature mean for Pratt?
“Drawn literature” means telling stories through words and images, two codes integrated in such a tight way as to constitute an inseparable unicum, which has given life to a new type of languages ”and it is precisely these two codes that we want to make with our Formix unique to our story.
