The PT drum cleaners are used in the pre-cleaning stage in order to separate the heaviest impurities from the cereals .
They are built in conformity with the Machinery directive 2006/42/EC and for use in potentially explosive atmospheres are supplied according to the directive 94/9/EC.
The impure cereal passes through an inclined rotating drum equipped with perforated sheets for separating the heaviest impurities and conveying them to the terminal outlet. Finally, the clean cereal passes through the holes and is collected in the unloading hoppers.
The number of metal sheets and the diameter of the holes are chosen considering the product that has to be treated, the flow rate and the type of job the machine has to perform.
The structure is made of galvanised metal sheets, suitable for outdoor installations and is equipped with removable doors that permit the inspection of the grids and their replacement. This makes the machine adaptable for treating various types of cereals.
Each element has its own dedicated outlet in order to separate the different types of waste and recycle the fragmented cereal.
The rotating drum is driven by a gear motor and a belt transmission. Its inclination can be regulated in order to increase or decrease the cleaning capacity.
The machine can be combined with a PA air cleaner positioned right above the loading inlet, for the separation of light wastes.
